Cleanliness and ample parking make The Broken Axle an accessible and comfortable destination, while its proximity to the Appalachian Outpost enhances its appeal for outdoor enthusiasts looking for a hearty meal and refreshing drinks. The bar’s impressive beer selection on tap perfectly complements the diverse menu, rounding out the experience for those who enjoy pairing craft beverages with their meals.

While some have mentioned the seasoning sometimes leans toward heavy-handed, the overall consistency and quality of the food remain strong. The Broken Axle stands out not just as a place to eat, but as a gathering spot where locals and visitors alike can connect over well-made food and drinks in a warm, unpretentious setting.

Went with a large group of people. The atmosphere is chill but nothing to write home about. The first waitress kept 'overlooking' me and I had to keep getting her attention to order anything. The second waitress was more engaged with everyone, including myself. The food was timely but WAY over-salted. I ordered the burger and the salt was on the toasted bread that served as the bun. On the bread.

I definitely recommend coming here! The food was amazing, so many beers on tap, the staff was so friendly. You can definitely tell that they are understaffed but being in the restaurant business myself I can’t help but appreciate the great work they do. Service is definitely a little slow but they make up for it with amazing service and amazing food! I was never disappointed in a meal here, we stayed at Appalachian Outpost and having this restaurant on site was definitely one of the best perks, after riding all day coming here for a cold drink and great food was awesome! We went every night it was open while we were there, they remembered us, remembered that it was my birthday & they gave us a free dessert! I couldn’t recommend this place more! The waffle on the dessert menu is probably the best thing I have ever tasted !!!
